I live in the UK and have been going to my GP for years about my moderate persistent acne, with prescriptions given to me for multiple topicals and a course of antibiotics with no improvements. Finally I got a referral and have an appointment to see a derm on April 10th 
I REALLY want accutane as I've tried so many products and acne is really having a negative effect on my self esteem. I'm prepared for accutane and have researched A LOT. Will my derm give it to me if I explain exactly what I've tried and how it makes me feel? And if I refuse another course of antibiotics?

Dont take accutane. The negative side effects far outweigh the benefits, which may only be temporary. Especially given that you are so young. You could just be experiencing raging hormones. I'd try and get on a different antibiotic and get into a well planned skin routine. Accutane could ruin your life. If you're severe and there are no other options, id still caution asking for a low dose .
