Day 6 on Zenatane 40mg a day (20mg morning and night):
Skincare and makeup:
- CeraVe foaming facial cleanser (morning and night)
- DHC deep cleansing oil (to remove makeup)
- CeraVe moisturizing lotion (morning and night)
- Aquaphor (for lips)
- Tarte amazonian clay foundation
- NARS creamy concealer
Update:
- Minimal symptoms / side effects
- No major breakouts - small pustules near both temples but smooth texture overall
- Eyes feel a little dry and tired
- Feeling more lethargic than usual (although didn't have good energy to begin with)
- Skin is still oily (enough to require blotting paper)
- Lips feel normal (have been applying aquaphor religiously though)
Overall... still feeling underwhelmed by the lack of side effects
Will be bumping dosage up to 60mg a day (20mg morning and 40mg night) starting week 3!
DAY 18 ( increased to 60mg/day one week ago )
Update:
- IB started three days ago - major whitehead breakout, lots of tiny pustules all over face
- Skin is irritated and red
- Face is dry (feels tight when making facial expressions) but manageable
- Lips are dry and tight but not to the point of peeling or cracking
Definitely taken by surprise by the intensity of IB... it all came at once overnight
But that just means the medicine is working so not complaining. Better now than later
