So yeah, im finally doing this...

Hello there , acne fellas~ my skin problem story started when i was 12 i guess and as a kid, i didnt worry much about it at that time so i just carried on.. Mother took me to a skin cleansing treatment where the doctor squeezed all i had on my face out and decided to buy some products for me to keep my skin good looking and acne free. I started to get into skincare really early, as i followed the ritual religiously of washing, tonifying and moisturizing every single day, morning and evening. Eventually, it showed itself as not being enough, so i went to the dermatologist to get some serious treatment for that specific acne problem i had. There were pimples and blackheads on my forehead, nose and especially the cheeks, not cute.

And there i went on the benzoyl peroxide / differin treatment for about 5 months. I stopped by my own because it wasnt doing anything for my skin except for drying it out and causing discomfort when i slept. As i said previously, i followed everything religiously, just as the doctor told me to.

So after that, i searched for other brands that promised clear skin and all that crap but none of them made my skin actually clear. And dude i tried a bunch of brands, from cheap to over the counter, and nothing worked. My acne at that point was mild to moderate.

Then mother suggested that id go on accutane. I had heard such horribe stories about it so i was sure i wouldnt succumb to it.

But i made some researches on it and i thought that maybe that would be the only solution, indeed.

So we went back to the dermatologist and he said that as my acne was moderate, but really persistent, that it was time for me to go for accutane. And so i did.

Right now, it has been 11 days i have been on accutane and my side effects are pretty normal: joint pain and dry lips. Not as dry as i thought they would be, but i think its because im using lipbalm constantly.. oh, and the sides of my nose as well are getting kinda dry. My skin does not look any good yet, but that was expected, since the results arent normally shown that fast unless youre lucky as heck. Its not any worse either. Just the same horrible, uneven, itchy and painful skin from before.

Oh, i also have acne on my back (a lot) and a few on my chest area~

if your story relates to mine, when did you start getting results? did you get the skin worsening period so many people talk about? what other side effects did you have?
