Hi! I am 19 years old and I have been on accutane for 4 months now (40mg dose) And my dermatologist told me on the 7th januari that everything looked fine (back then I didnt get any breakouts in the beginning of the third month not even minor ones..) it was just one wich was active under my eye and it is gone by now..

Well since my dermatologist liked the results he told me to continue one more month (4 in total) but I got a big pimple on my forehead last week right where the hairline starts.. Now it is smaller and almost gone. What should I do? Do you think I should be on accutane for at least 5 months in total? I only have a few days supply left.. And my next meeting is the 20th february since they didnt find any time earlier.

I only have red marks left and when will they dissapear? Its actually the red marks that makes me uncomfortable :/

I kind of miss drinking and exercise he told me I should wait 3 weeks after my last pill but I forgot to ask about the alcohol.. When is it okay to drink alcohol? I mean LOTS of alcohol..

I don't know how much ALOT of alcohol is to you - but I do know it is very bad for you liver to drink in excess while accutane is in your system, so I would wait at least a month after you stop to make sure you don't cause permanent damage. In reference to whether or not you should continue taking it, my dermatologist told me he would have me continue taking Iso until I've been clear for a couple of months. So - unless you are taking a very large dose for your weight, 4 months seems like a rather short course - especially if you aren't clear.
