The first 3 months were harsh. I'd clear up, break out, and repeat. I was on a 6 month course of 80mg, weighing in at 155lbs. The dosage was extreme and so were my results. Accutane was a miracle drug and this post is for the sole reason of motivation, and to fight through it because you will strive. No harm was done to my body, I am perfectly fine, and acne free. My face was extremely oily and I'd break out in small, medium, and big zits. I'd also get cysts. I had every form of acne covering my entire back and chest, neck and face. Even my arms.
I have not had one pimple since being off of the drug.
Day ONE:
POST ACCUTANE 6 MONTHS:
Wow man your skin cleared up.. It's crazy how you went from red as a tomato (which is my current condition hahah -__-) to your normal skin tone. Man I'm barely on day 9 i think and my face is a mess already but the way i look at it is that I'm one day closer to clearer skin. And when I say clearer skin is better than how I started cause I'm not expecting miracles just for my face to look and feel better. Thanks for the encouragement man.. It really gives hope. Take care.

Your skin will push out the impurities and as long as you hydrate it, it will return to it's natural state of color. YOU WILL BE ASTONISHED AT THE RESULTS. Just stick to it brother, it'll be done before you know it. When I felt discouraged, I wish I had something like this to look at. Just know that your skin will be perfect soon. Cheers

Like ==== mentions, I too have a lot of annoying red marks (even though I have stopped breaking out). Did you experience that as well? If so, how long did those take to fade? I'm at the end of my 3rd month with 2 more to go. I wish I had taken 'before' pictures but I wanted no reminders of my nasty acne although now I wish I could see how far I've come.

None of my IB! I never really got one. The first few days I started getting A LOT of little white heads that quickly faded, but that's it.

Just a question, post accutane 6 months or post accutane with a 6 month course?
If the first option , can u post pictures on the day that you finish tane?
First option. It's been 6 months since my finish. My skin looks the same as it has since about 5 months on accutane. The red marks quickly faded, the red bumps you see in the picture are from shaving. No pimples, none since month 3.

Yes I had LOADS of red marks, I thought they'd never go away, but sure enough they did. Around month 5, on towards the end of the journey my red marks had almost completley gone away. Just keep your skin hydrated, and YES I don't blame you, it makes my cringe seeing my day one pictures. Good luck to you! Your red marks will fade before you know it.
