Hi everyone!!
About a month ago, i went to see a doctorfor some skin condition.
It was actually an allergic rash, and the doctor prescribed me with doxycycline and prednisolone for the period of 10 days.
At first, the doxycycline works like magic and almost all of my acne disappeared.
But after the 10 days have passed, my acne came back even worse than before.
Huge sized acne on my face and an outbreak on my back and chest.
I seem to notice most of the acne are black heads and huge boils.
I went for another doctor and he also prescribed me with doxycycline 100mg twice daily for 15 days.
It helps with the acne a little bit but not as efficient as before.
I suspect that resistance might have occur.
Acne still grows on my back and face and those acne that have go away left me with multiple reddish spots.
The more i look at it, the worse i feel about my acne.
Any suggestions or tips to help me with it ?
It doesn't look that bad. Don't take too many antibiotics because it can be harmful in the future. You can check out my post. I cleared my bacne in a gentle way. Don't use any chemical like Bp on your bacne because once you stop it'll come back right away. http://www.acne.org/messageboard/topic/363156-how-i-got-rid-of-bacnebody-acne/
Agreed. Antibiotics are not the answer...too many can eventually turn life threatening. Sounds like the doctor also put you on a steroid medication wish will give you acne. Clinique makes a decent acne bar soap for face and body. Also, I used to get acne on my back and shoulders until I tried a different body wash on a fluke (gift basket). It cleared up. When I tried returning to my old soap--acne returned. Just so happens I'm sensitive to some ingredients and just have to experiment until I find a wash that doesn't break me out.
