Hi i am sam i am 13 and ive had really bad chest and back acne ive tried all things from home like epsom salt and toothpaste to dry it and even body wash. Nothing has worked, i am completely embarrassed to go swimming again and i dont know what to do? I am going to the doctors to try to get medication for it, does anyone know how to get rid of it?? Please help!!
Hi! My dermatologist prescribed me cream for my back acne. I went back and told them that I couldn't reach my back so they gave me Doxycyline. It actually stopped the breakouts, I just had a ton of acne scars. Luckily I ran track in high school so the sun was able to fade away my scars. Once I stopped taking the medication for about 5 months, it came back all over again. I'm still self conscious wearing tank tops and what not.
Hi Sam, I started using Paula's choice (ordered online) Gel Exfoliant 2% BHA on my back. It truly helps prevent new cysts on my back. I use it twice a day. I also got a benzoyl peroxide foam 9.8% from my dermatologist. It's called BenzEFoam and penetrates better than over the counter. If you can't get that I would use PanOxyl wash from Walgreens. It definitely helps on my back. I hope this helps!
