Upper Back/shoulder Acne Potential Cure?

Just want to give a little background first -

I started getting acne on my back for the first time in my life in December, which was 6 months after I'd stopped the pill, I can only assume there is a connection there. I got my facial acne under control which was only a bit annoying for the first 6 months or so, but somehow I couldn't get rid of it on my upper back. I started washing it every day, started changing my bed every week, I started washing my bras after I'd worn them only once. I read on here that Head & Shoulders helps a lot of people completely cure their back acne, so I began coating my back in it, lathering it up in the shower and washing it off. Then before I got out I'd put another coat on and leave it to soak into my skin. It did dry up some of the acne but my back was insanely itchy and dry and flaky and I was still getting acne so I stopped. I began using benzoyl peroxide for a couple months and it was doing nothing. The acne at this point did not cover my back but only affect up at my shoulders, it would be really sore under the skin spots (not quite cysts I don't think) which leave a brown mark for weeks, not the worst thing ever but I was getting really tired of not being able to wear sleeveless/strappy tops. I was using a brand by "boots" in the UK (not sure if anyone gets it anywhere else) called tea tree and witch hazel body spray, I think it did help when the spots were there, making them go away a little faster but it didn't stop them.

What worked -

I decided to give head and shoulders another try, but this time instead of leaving it on, I'd just coat my back in it, lather and wash it off. I've been using it for just over 2 and a half weeks and I've only gotten one spot on my back since. I must also mention that I've stopped wearing a bra as much as well but the head and shoulders is definitely the reason my back has stopped getting three or four of those really sore spots on my shoulders every few days.

I always said that I'd write a post for anything that eventually worked, or seemed like it was working for me, I hope this helps someone! I'll update in another couple weeks as well.

The kind of head and shoulders I am using was just the "classic" version.

UPDATE:

I've only had two or three small spots on my back since, which cleared up within a couple days. Ene of them happened when I didn't use head and shoulders on my back for 2 days.
