This just appeared 2 days ago. It only hurts a bit on touch and I think the red circle is from me touching it. Is it a pimple, ingrown hair or something else. Please help it got me worried, safe to wait and let it go on its own?

Smaller, like a big pimple

It's either an ingrown hair or the beginnings of a boil. I'd wait and see what it does.

Hardened and hurts less and might be smaller not sure.
