Looks like grover's disease - a skin disease that is treatable.

Looks like it may be folliculitis - have you ever taken antibiotics for a prolonged period?

Yes i do have a terrible soar throat about 2 months ago and took some strong antibiotics for about a week...

Just went to visit a doctor and she say is "fungal infection" and now i am on ketoconazole pill and ketoconazole cream with Nitozol shampoo for bathing.

I suspect it is folliculitis but grover's disease seem to be the case too....

Well I'd have them do a biopsy just in case.

You don't suffer from kidney disease, do you?

Viperjet,

In Sept I had a flare-up that looked similar to yours. Eventually the derm doc did a biopsy and it was diagnosed as Grovers disease. A steroid cream called triamcinolone was prescribed and cleared it up within 1-2 weeks. Does it itch? Grovers tends to be itchy and uncomfortable. Initially the derm doc visually diagnosed it as acne or folliculitis, but those treatments (clindamycin lotion, ketoconazole wash) were not effective because Grovers is not a bacterial or fungal infection. Frankly, I think I have a mix of conditions on my back (acne + folliculitis + Grovers). To keep things in check it seems I have to frequently monitor the situation and apply the appropriate topical to stifle whichever condition might be flaring at any given time. Pretty nutty, eh!

Good luck. Sounds like you are on the right path. You will get it fixed.
