So My Back Acne Goes Away When I Sleep On My Stomach, But Then I Get Chest Acne

Topic title pretty much says it all. I've found that, in conjunction with the regimen I use before I go to sleep, when I sleep on my stomach that my back acne clears up dramatically and almost goes away entirely, but then I end up getting acne on my chest when it is normally completely clear. Is my only option to sleep hanging from my feet like a bat from the door frame? (that's a joke). Seriously, what can I do about this or am I screwed? If I sleep on my side the acne just ends up there. I've tried spraying witch hazel on my sheets to kill bacteria, but it doesn't really help.

Apart from changing your sheets regularly, I don't know what else to suggest. I think changing the sheets would be more effective than spraying with witch hazel although it takes a little more effort. It's interesting you don't mention facial acne though - is that not something you deal with / isn't affected by the way you sleep?

Actually no, I don't have any facial acne. If I sleep on my stomach for long enough I'll maybe get one or two pimples around my nose or chin, but that's rare. I have been changing the sheets every 2 days (I can't be bothered to do it every day) and have changed detergents to something for people with sensitive skin, but the problem persists.

hmmm I really don't know what else to suggest... maybe looking at other causes and ways to treat it? Hopefully if you could treat it internally, through diet etc and through topicals if you wanted to, then the sheets wouldn't be a problem or as much of a problem.

Maybe someone else will add to this thread with other advice.

Hope you work something out and find something that helps soon!

I heard taking epsom salt bath with hydrogen peroxide helps with body acne but do more research on it.

What about wearing a t-shirt?
