Groin Cyst Or Swollen Lymph Node? Help!

I just can't catch a break. My skin seems to be clearing, somewhat, slowly, on the supplements and diet I'm doing right now. Then last night I had slight pain at my underwear line, right where my leg meets my groin area. I thought it might've been just from the friction of my underwear rubbing against it because I'd walked a lot that night, way more than usual, and that happens occasionally. But when I checked it out, there is a HUGE lump there. It's about the size and shape of a large grape, maybe even a little bigger, and it's really tender and hurts when I touch it. It feels like the same kind of pain when I get a really bad sebaceous cyst, and I have had cysts down there, but they were like your average cyst, round and would eventually come to a head. It's a visible lump too. It scared me so much because it almost looked like a tumor or something, that's how much it's protruding, but it seems to have appeared out of thin air over the course of one day. I'm really concerned that this could have something to do with my lymph node and might be serious. I don't have health insurance and can't afford to go to the doctor, so please please please don't tell me to get it checked out because that is not a possibility. Has anyone experienced this before? Could it really just be a sebaceous cyst (or maybe two right next to one another) even though it's that large and oval shaped? Could it be a Bartholin's cyst in that location? What I've read about Bartholin's seems to rule it out because it's practically on my leg. Could it be from any of the new things I'm doing (Candex, probiotics, Grapefruit Seed Extract, turmeric, apple cider vinegar)? Could it be a staph infection, which I suspected I might have in my face causing folliculitis? Or could it be something really serious like lymphoma? If anyone's experienced this before I'd REALLY appreciate some insight.

For what it's worth, after reading more I'm pretty sure it's an infected sebum gland (or most likely two right next to one another, which I guess happens a lot). Really grossed out and pissed off and want to know why/how this happened. I can't help but feel like it's related to whatever I'm doing to treat my acne, since I started all these new treatments just two days ago and suddenly this happens, and since sebum is so closely related to acne. I have a whole bottle of Minocycline that I'm considering taking to see if it will get rid of this. I don't care about the appearance of it or anything, it just HURTS and it's in the most inconvenient spot right at the crease of my leg and it hurts when I walk. ARGH! angry.png

Hi mammasay, really empathise for you. I have a large cyst behind my ear that is really painful due to the pressure from my ear on it. I am sure you have read all the diet info on here. I find if i avoid sugar and dairy this helps the cyst from not getting bigger, somewhat. The best thing is icing, oh it feels so good and seems to reduce swelling. I have started taking an anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen so the pain is reduced and the swelling. I have just started taking saw palmetto and a b complex vitamin which I hope will help with sebum and hormone imbalances.

Sorry if I am repeating what you know, but i care and know what your going through. Hang in there.

Thanks, this is definitely helpful and it's nice to know someone empathizes! I've gotten cysts behind my ears before so I feel your pain. That's one of the most painful spots I think and it would sometimes make my whole head hurt. I'll try ice and see if that helps. You hang in there too!
