I've suffered from moderate to severe acne on my back and shoulders since I was a teenager and have tried most everything under the sun, none of which made a huge difference. After yet another trip to see my dermatologist this spring to try the latest and greatest antibiotic, she suggested I try a new over the counter product called Powderma. I'm happy to report it has made all the difference in the world.
I apply it every morning when I get out of the shower and although I still get a blemish here and there, it has all but completely cleared up my skin. I was actually able to go the beach this summer for the first time in years and not be embarrassed.
I've been using it for about three weeks now and I'm happy to report it has been working. I also began using dandruff shampoo in the shower to wash my back and shoulders before I apply Powderma. I was using it everyday, but have since switched to every other day. Definitely keeps your skin from getting oily. They even sent me a free bacne applicator which was cool. Makes it easier to get the middle of my back.
I am 25 now and had the usual breakouts as a teenager, but just on my face. Out of nowhere last year, I started breaking out on my back and neck. I read an artivle in Mens Health about Powderma, so I thought I would try it. I've been using it for a few months now and I've noticed a significant change in my skin. It's much clearer and softer and I even see some old acne scars fading! Definitely worth a try.
I have been having these occasional breakout now and then. I suffered from bad acne like lot of others in my teenage years and then it kind of died down. Used to get the occasional pimple once in a while. But, I had the Neutrogena Pink grape fruit wash that really helped to keep my skin clean and in control. But for reasons that I still dont know, a sudden spurt of breakouts occurred over the past few months and it was slightly getting out of control and embarrassing. I tried a lot of these OTC gels, creams from Neutrogena, clean&clear, anthony Log etc. Went into a very strict skin care regimen with religious cleaning moisturizing and treatments. But no results and was very frustrating. I thought I would give Powderma a try. All I could say that I am very happy with the results. I use this in combination with the Neutrogena Pink grapefruit and the Aveeno clear complexion facial moisturizer. This has really improved my skin 80-90%. I havent broken out on my face or even the remote ones in the back or anywhere on my body in the past 2 weeks.
Why are there no ingredients listed on the Powderma website?Does anyone know what the ingredients are?
This is what I got off of amazon: Ascorbic Acid, Calcium Pantothenate, Niacinamide, Zinc Oxide, Magnesium Sulfate, Micronized Salicin, Vitamin E.
It also said 3 ounces. I'd rather just stick to gold bond triple action medicated powder. (24 ounces for $16). I shower with aveeno skin relief moisturizing body wash. Then at night I put the powder on my back. If I put it on right after a shower, I get dry skin. This clears me up about 80%. I know its not 100%, but nothing else can come this close.
