Hey everyone,
I'm really at my wits end. Last summer I unfortunatley had to have an abortion and ever since I have had chest acne which I have never had in my life! Just when I think its going away a few more pimples pop up. Its really embarassing and I have tried just about everything, except accutane of course. I was wondering if this has happened to anyone even after a pregnancy and did it ever go away or am I stuck with this for life? Can anyone suggest an alternative treatment? Ive tried natural, over the counter, dermatologist I'm getting very depressed.

i can tell you are very stressed and frustrated which is understandable,however as you probably know stress is a major contributing factor for the acne, that could be one of the reasons that treatments you tried didn't work,so first of all you need to improve your emotional state. [Edited link out]

I had an abortion 4 months ago, and a copper IUD insterted at the same time. I took out the IUD 2 months ago as acne flared up in a way it has never done before. Not sure if it was because of the Copper IUD or hormonal imbalance caused by the abortion but each pore on my face is raised and eventually gets inflamed. I have hundreds of bumps on ym face, which feels rough like sandpaper. In relation to your post I have been getting acne on my chest and kneck as well, which has never happened before. Very frustrating situation!

Omg I'm going through the exact same thing as this! I had an abortion and had the copper IUD put in at the same time. 2 weeks after I started getting bumps all over my face and weird boil like pimples on the back of my knees. I used to get a few pimples here and there due to food allergies but since the abortion/copper IUD my skin has been crazy sensitive. What has helped is the autoimmune paleo diet. I was on the paleo diet anyway but was still having lots of sugar now and then and wasn't very strict with it. Basically I've cut out all dairy, gluten and sugar plus alcohol. It's not much fun but it seems to be getting my hormones back on track and my skin is a lot better (the bumps have almost gone but I still get big pimples if I eat the wrong thing) im still not sure if it's the IUD (which I took out 6 weeks after the abortion) or the abortion itself?
Can an I ask how you're doing now? How does your skin feel?
