Hello all,

I really am in need of some help. I™ve been dealing with a skin issue for months now. Almost 8mo. It is on and off and I thought I final figured it out but it™s back again. It seems to get stronger each time. I really am unsure of what to do at this point. All the specialists that I™ve seen were stumped and last resorted me to see a rheumatologist, but the next appt that I can get in is in March of ˜23. I™ll add pictures, if anyone knows what this is please help me. It seems to start off as a white head acne sort of and then it crusts over and can just be like that for a while. It will just stay in a crusted state until whenever. Let me know what you think.

I'd see a derm about this ASAP. I don't know if it's acne. Doesn't look like it at first glance. See someone soon so you can lessen potential scarring.

Ive seen two derms and a infectious disease doctor. They thought it was the following and have treated it as such- Impetigo, Stentrophomonas Maltophilia, Staph, Cystic Acne, Herpes. Steno and staph came up in the first culture as positive and second culture that was done didnt come up with anything abnormal. Got a herpes test and fully negative for both. Sometimes it ebbs and flows. However, it is much less intense than what it was in that picture I still can seem to get a grip on it. Its more sporadic but it still doesnt want to fully go away. My doctors are truly lost and they want to do a punch biopsy and I really dont want to do that nor do I think that will lead to any meaningful results. Its seems like an option because they dont know what else to do. The ID Dr. Thinks I should see a Rheumatologist but my one Derms practice has a former NP that worked in Rheumatology and did not think for a second that it was rheumatology related. I am so curious about what is going on with my body but also if anyone has any advice?

This is kinda fascinating then. Even the docs can't get a grip on it.

Hmm...ok I'm shooting in the dark here, but might be interesting to try the carnivore diet. I've been researching diet and it's effect on the body lately, and there are many anecdotal reports of people overcoming auto-immune or inflammatory diseases with the carnivore diet. I don't know whether your condition is auto-immune or inflammatory, however, so that's why it's a shot in the dark. But what's good about the carnivore diet is it eliminates basically everything, so if diet is contributing to what you're experiencing, it will likely kinda let you know.

Other than that, yeah, if I were you I'd get a biopsy and basically keep going down the rabbit hole with your docs. But...as you do...do not rely on what they tell you. Be your own advocate, which it sounds like you are, and research as much as you possibly can.

And...keep us posted please. I'm so curious now what the actual diagnosis is, and what it will take to get rid of this. Feel free to run things by me too.
