Due to a problem with IE8, I switched to Firefox. While browsing the forums I noticed that random words in posts were linked to adverts.

I thought I read a while ago that these forums would never support ads?

That is on your end. If you go to other sites, you will see the same thing.

This site does not support advertising in any form. If you see a post with advertising or 'hidden' links, please report it and a moderator will delete the offending post or remove the link.

That ad is definitely on your end. I would check your plugins for firefox and disable any that you're not sure of.

Can you link me to the thread, so I can double check somebody hasn't inserted something in to a post. But I'm 99% sure that wouldn't be possible either.

Thanks

Ah...sory you're right. It was a couple of extensions in Firefox causing it. I found 2 similar sounding extensions, one called "1Click Downloader 1.6" and one called "OneClickDownloader 1.3" They both had to be disabled to stop the ads. I will now remove them.

Apologies for thinking it was acne.org. blush.png
