It's my 4th day to do the regimen, my face is turning red, dry and feelling burning all day, when I touch my skin is not smooth. Is this expected? Am I allergy to this product?

Meanwhile, I don't have a a lot of acne, I only have 4-5 acnes on my face sometimes, should I apply the regimen on all my face? My main concern is the acne scar on my face, should I start the aha treatmenr now?

It sounds like you are either sensitive or started too fast.

Do the regimen only once per day for the first week and only use a pea size amount of treatment. If you do any more than this, it can get pretty irritated. Even doing it once a day with a pea size amount can still be challenging, so definitely start slowly.

Now that you are already quite irritated, I would say to take a couple of days off entirely. Keep moisturizing, but no treatment. Then when you start back up, go as slowly as your skin needs to go to handle it. Your skin will get accustomed to it and this initial dry/red reaction will dissipate but it can take a few weeks, which is why it's so important to start slowly.

Signs of allergy are swelling or severe crusting. It doesn't sound like you're saying you have that, but if you notice your skin is swelling or crusting over, that could be allergy, but allergy is very rare. Most likely you are experience the hardening effect of benzoyl peroxide, which is common and to be expected.

Keep us posted.

Hi Dan, you mention only using the moisturiser, should the cleanser still be used too? I have the same issue and I am planning on taking a few days off but should I continue using the cleanser too?
