Im 15 years old and I have spots which I personally think are due to my diet. I have dark brown marks from spots that I have put toothpaste on in the past and many small bumps on my forehead and in between my eyebrows. I feel that my scaring and spots are not particularly bad however i dont feel confident leaving the house without makeup. Many of my friends have said I shouldnt get the regimen as I dont really have acne and that it could make my skin react badly. I have tried many products and I have began food restrictions however nothing has helped the marks or spots and I feel it will get worst. As I am in secondary school, I dont have any form of income but fortunately my mother is willing to pay for the regimen. I fear that if I purchase this expensive treatment, my skin will react badly or not improve at all. Does anyone know how it reacts to relatively clear skin? Also what should I do?
Hello Karli-Roman,
Our best advice is to use The Regimen products. They will get you completely clear and will make your skin look nice and even toned and non-inflamed. Thats whats most important in order to prevent future hyperpigmentation and scarring. Make sure you use them diligently and you will get completely clear.
However, the hyperpigmentation itself can take several months or longer to fade. To speed this process you can add Acne.org AHA+ which will help increase skin cell turnover and allow your acne marks to fade faster. But nothing will help hyperpigmentation fade extremely quickly. Its only time that can do that. Remember that hyperpigmentation are not scars, however, and will fade with time.
Don't use this product. In 6 months it's taken my skin from healthy to damaged. It may clear away acne but you are doing so much damage to your skin that will take very long tp heal. You can also not just quit BP whenever you want because ask anyone who has tried to quit, they get extremely bad breakouts for months up to 8 months after quitting. I'm in the process trying to get off this horrible product without going into that breakouy and also somehow trying to heal my skin. I am actually quitting my job and moving back home for a couple of months in order to just heal my skin. All because of this product. Please don't use it.
