What to expect when adding AHA?

Ive been on the regimen for a month now and am miraculously clear! I just used The AHA moisturizer last night and woke up looking very fresh faced. My husband even noticed. I was glowing. Tonight when I did my regimen I noticed for the first time ever my skin was pink after applying my BP. Im using a full index fingers length 2x a day. Im definitely flaky, but Im happy with that as opposed to active acne. So my question is, is this from my use of AHA last night and is it normal? Or am I using too much BP. I did try to lower my BP a week ago which led to a few pimples so I went back to the full amount. I love the AHA and was tempted to use it again tonight, but once I saw that bright pink skin, I decided to wait and only use it a few times a week, as directed.

What can can I expect as I add ahA? Will my skin need to adjust?

Btw, to those out there considering this regimen, go for it!! I tried everything and my husband was telling me just to go on accutane again ( I was on it when I was 17 and im 32). He encouraged me to go on accutane the first time and my skin cleared. My skin was normal up until my last baby. Once I stopped breastfeeding my skin went crazy, my thyroid was off and my skin was horrific. For a solid year I have worked closely with my dermatologist and tried every prescription and treatment I could. Nothing worked. I made an appointment to get my accutane prescription but decided i would give this regimen a chance first. My last ditch effort before succumbing to the awful side effects of accutane I had experienced years ago. My husband was not pleased. He continued telling me it would not work and I was wasting time. I committed to a month. Im now so pleased. I can honestly say I have cured my acne. I have pigmentation to deal with now, but no active break outs! The regimen takes some adjusting, but its so worth it!!!!!

So tell me what to expect with this AHA??

Thanks!!

Hi CoachsWife,

Redness and irritation is to be expected when you begin using the Acne.org AHA+ but your skin should be able to adjust within a few weeks. You may start off by mixing equal parts of the Moisturizer and the AHA+ and apply the mixture on your skin once a day, every day. You may also start by using only a pea sized amount of the AHA+ and apply it on your skin every 2-3 nights.

If you need any further assistance, please let us know. We are here to help.
