So I just want to share my progress so far on the regimen to give people who are struggling some encouragement, and show what the regimen has done for me so far! I™ll try to keep it brief & easy to read, but there is a lot of info, so I apologize in advance for the long post.

I™ve been on the regimen since August 1, 2017- so about 3.5 months now. I use the whole set, including the cleanser, BP, moisturizer, AHA, and jojoba oil. All are Dan™s products, aside from the jojoba oil (I live in Canada so it™s just cheaper to get a different brand).

Background Info on my Skin: I™ve have moderate cystic acne since I was about 13. My skin is extremely sensitive, so most products give me a bad reaction such as dryness & rashes. My acne is mostly concentrated on both of my cheeks, but I did have a lot of blackheads on my nose & forehead. Honestly the biggest issue for me was not my acne- I did have bad acne, but the zits would go away with time & were usually not too gruesome. However, my skin is really fair, so every single zit I got would leave a red mark. I still have red marks on my cheeks from years ago.

My overall health: I am a 21 year old female who drinks around 3L of water a day, exercises 3-5 days a week, & I have been a vegetarian for 14 years. I track everything that I eat to make sure that I get enough protein & nutrients, take multivitamins, & go to the doctor regularly to get my blood tested for iron deficiencies. I™ve never had any major health problems & my doctor has concluded my acne is genetic (my dad had really bad acne as well). I am also lactose intolerant so my dairy intake is absolutely minimal.

Prescriptions: I do take Alesse birth control. I know that this is a hot topic in the acne community because Alesse causes acne with some people, but my acne is not affected by it. I had severe acne before I went on Alesse, & I™ve gone off of it to see if it affected my acne & it has not. It has not made my acne better though either. I did take prescriptions for my acne at one point but they did not help.

So my acne was pretty much just genetic, & affected by my hormones only around that time of the month.

Products tried: I™ve tried Proactiv, Clean & Clear, Noxema, Oxy, Spectro, Vichy, @tmosphere, natural approaches like tea tree oil, apple cider vinegar, & rosehip seed oil, the Yes To brand, Live Clean, and many more. I™ve also been prescribed topicals to help my acne, but I found that they did not help (I forget the name of the prescription). I also tried Benzagel 5, a 5% BP gel, & it did help a little bit, but it was too harsh for my skin.

My Experience on the Regimen

So I started the regimen about 3.5 months ago, & my skin has been almost completely clear since around the 2 month mark. I say ˜almost™ because I still have some red marks from past acne, but they are fading extremely well. I still do get a couple zits around menstruation, but they are tiny & dry up within a day.

When I first started the regimen, I used it exactly as told: 2 pumps cleanser, 2 pumps BP, 2 pumps of moisturizer & 6 drops of jojoba oil, morning & night.

For the first 2 weeks the BP did irritate my skin. My skin would burn & itch when I put it on, but only for a few minutes. I was determined to give it a chance though so I stuck it out, & I™m really glad I did! It stopped hurting completely after the 2nd week. I also worked my way up on the BP like they recommend: pea size amount to 1 pump then to 2 pumps.

I started incorporating the AHA around week 4. I use it three times a week (M W F) in place of the moisturizer. I use an index fingers length amount. When I first started the AHA, it burned more than the BP did. It hurt so much I had to wash it off my face a couple of times because I just couldn™t handle it. Again, I toughed it out & after a few uses it stopped hurting completely. Now it doesn™t feel like anything!

I did this up until the 2 month mark, when my skin was mostly clear & I just had a lot of red marks left. At this point I decided to try to use less BP because I felt like my skin didn™t need 2 full pumps anymore. So I slowly went down to 1 pump, & have been using just 1 pump morning & night since around 1 month ago. I haven™t had any breakouts from lowering my BP amount, but I™ve heard that others have, so lower it at your own risk!

I love the regimen & will continue to use it until my red marks are gone & probably still after that. My skin used to be red, bumpy, and super sensitive to everything, but now it™s smooth, I have no zits at the moment, & my red marks are virtually gone. See the pics below!

Thanks for reading this far (if you still are), & I hope this shows that the regimen can work if you trust it! Obviously don™t use it if you have a severe reaction to it or something though. Feel free to ask questions!

Pics are in order of before the regimen to about 2 weeks ago.
