Red Shiny Skin

Hello everyone.

here's my dilemma,

I've been on the regimen since September of 2015. I started using it while on my last doses of doxycyline. It worked fantastic with the antibiotics and even after I was done with everything it continued to work amazingly. Fast forward more than a year later and it's still working well, but I'm starting to become unhappy about the regimen.

Once I maxed out the regimen and getting clear it's been a crazy balancing act between BP and moisturizer. Too much BP, dries out my skin, then i have to put more moisturizer, which make my very light skin look very red and shiny. If I put less BP then I can put less moisturizer on my face which *mostly* solves the redness but then my face, especially around my mouth, feels dry and flakes. (I only breakout around my mouth and upper lip)

today I put about 1 pea sized amount of BP and a half pump of moisturizer and my cheeks and face is red and shiny. More than 1 pump of moisturizer and my skin looks beet red and really oily slick

I'm just looking for suggestions as to how I can solve the redness and shinyness. I've very self conscious lately since it looks like I have sunburn on my cheeks or a tan and some people have asked "wow did u go on vacation you got sunburn" or stupid stuff like that.

should I try some different products or maybe only use BP once a day?

Slowly reduce the amount of BP over time, for example go from the second line of your finger of BP first week, then first line to BP on the second week, to pea size on the third week. Reduce it until the redness goes away and still reduces acne, then stay at that exact amount. Or if redness goes away and acne starts to come back, you may slowly ramp the BP amount up again to prevent redness again. :)
