Hi all,
I will be starting the regimen soon, and am hopeful that it will work for me! I realize there is often an initial (sometimes pretty intense) drying phase, which I am okay with, but have some questions about.

Can I reapply moisturizer throughout the day, and do I have to clean my face before? I imagine coming home from school or work and feeling dirty or gross. Is it okay to be rubbing moisturizer with dirt/debris from everyday living on my face?

Let me know, thanks!

Sean

I would not wash your face more than recommended (twice a day) but feel free to reapply the moisturizer as often as needed throughout the day if you're going through that initial intense dryness/redness. It's important to keep your skin as comfortable and in balance as possible while your skin is adjusting to the BP, this will help prevent irritation breakouts. This will also motivate you to ride out the "hardening phase" which can be unpleasant...so many people quit before they've begun if the dryness is too unbearable. Once your skin gets over that initial hump, the dryness goes away and the treatment starts to feel comfortable.

Good luck!!!! :)

Awesome, thanks! And applying on a dirty/everyday face is okay? It seems unsanitary to me :/

Perfectly OK!! And not at all unsanitary!!! You do not need to wash your face every time you need moisturizer...more than 2 face washings a day would REALLY dry and irritate your skin!!! (which would require even more moisturizer...vicious cycle!)

Many people reapply moisturizer 2-4 times a day in the early weeks depending on their skin needs. It's the one step you can do more than twice a day!!

Hope this is helpful. Good luck with whatever you decide! :)
