This is my 7th week into the treatment. My acne relapse from 5th week has been slowly healing, and everything went to hell again after I started this new bottle of treatment at the beginning of this week. I put on my usual amount of BP, and lathered my face with moisturizer, and went to bed. The next morning I woke up with two huge patches of red, raw skin below by eyes and above my lower cheeks. I did not bump up my dosage. I did not skip the moisturizer. It happened for no reason. I did feel a more severe eye irritation when I applied this new bottle of BP onto my face. I think it was the cause. I though it'd go away in a few days. I've been sticking to my routine until this morning - the red patches have gone so red that my tinted sunscreen can no longer cover them anymore. They show through and look terrible.
I am really frustrated. I took off my sunscreen and washed my face, then applied a thick layer of moisturizer only on my face as soon as I got home, hoping that this could let my poor skin rest for a bit and be hydrated. I'm pretty sure it's caused by excessive dryness. I just don't understand how and why.
The regimen has given me more pain than joy. I know it is still quite early to make the judgment, but I am really skeptical about the final result that I'd be able to see in a couple of months. How could my coarse, red skin with active cysts turn to pearly white porcelain with me applying harsh chemicals onto it everyday?
