When to move on from the regimen

I have been using the regimen for about 2 and a half years now. It's been a really long time, so I've been considering other options. At this point, here are a few pros an cons I have found with the treatment for me.

pros:
-acne is kept at bay for the most part, but not completely clear

Cons:
-The regimen is very time consuming (I'm a college student and doing it in the morning and night takes its toll)
-My face is ALWAYS greasy. I have tried many different moisterizer types and amounts. (I think slathering 2 'creams' on my face is the culprit.
-my face still gets irritated. (This causes some of the acne)

does anyone else have experience going off the regimen? The cons are slightly outweighing the pros for me and this has been the case for a while now. Also,
my skin looks the nicest when I just decide to shower and apply
light moisturizer. I'm tired of having an irritated, greasy looking face. Any tips would be helpful. Thanks for reading!

Yeah the Regimen is a drag for sure, especially doing it every day twice a day.

Maybe see if you can get away with just doing the Regimen at night. If you don't mind putting up with a few more pimples, it may be worth it to at least have your mornings back and have your skin feel normal again during the day.

But if cutting back on treatments doesn't keep you as clear as you'd like, you can always go back to twice a day.

If the Regimen twice a day isn't keeping up with breakouts, it may be time to visit the derm who can recommend other treatment options. A course of minocycline can work wonders...worked beautifully for my son along with doing the Regimen...his skin was so severe he really needed a dual approach...now he just does the Regimen for maintenance and has been clear for several months. But a coworker who had mild acne was prescribed mino and this did the trick for her, acne never came back. So it's something to consider.
