Good day!
I started using the regimen last 2014. I tapered it down since Im almost clear. But now my face is on its worse phase. I mean my acne came back on full course. I returned using again the regimen and Im turning 3rd week on the regimen. Due to persistent acne and pain on using the bp, I set aside using it on just this week. My question is... Do i need to continue using the regimen plus bp for my 3rd week? Or go back to square one? Everytime I wake up now, I see 3-5 active acne popping out. Pls help me.

I agree, best to start over at this point and go slowly. Try this:

Week 1....use a pea-size amount of BP twice a day

Week 2...use a half pump of BP twice a day

Week 3...use a full pump of BP twice a day

Week 4...a pump and a half BP twice a day

Week 5...use 2 full pumps BP twice a day

Moisturize as often as needed and use a lot, especially at night, to help minimize uncomfortable redness and dryness. Not uncommon to moisturize 3 or more times a day. Adding some jojoba oil to your moisturize can help further calm angry skin. Expect some discomfort but just keep muscling through. Once your skin adjusts, the Regimen won't hurt and will start to feel comfortable. And hopefully by then you'll see some improvement, too!

Just don't give up! The Regimen worked for you before and it will again! :)

I'd start from the beginning, especially because BP has been causing pain to your skin. If you don't start slowly you'll probably be discouraged from doing the Regimen altogether.

ok. I will!! Thank you..Can I use jojoba oil plus moisturizer during the first week for flaky skin?

Thank you for the  encouragement. Is this normal? I mean, the pictures for my 3rd week is the worse sight I have. Will it get worse? Does the regimen triggers my skin to pop out more acne and then calm down?

Totally normal. Purging is not at all uncommon in the first several weeks of treatment. My son purged a few times over the 4-5 months it took him to clear up, although that initial purge is usually the worst. The breakouts get milder and milder until they don't happen at all. So try not to get discouraged, just try and view it as a necessary part of the process. Once the treatment brings all the latent acne deep down in the pores to the surface and is keeping up with the bacteria (killing p.acnes before they can make more pimples), you will start to clear up.

Will it usually take 4-5 months to clear? Are my acne phase like his when he was on his 3rd week too? It is just soo depressing. Esp. when people are staring at you like you are so horrible and cant keep mentioning about what they are seeing. :(

The process is different for everyone. Your 3rd week won't necessarily look like everyone else's 3rd week. Some people clear up in 3 weeks! (for milder cases) For others it takes them 3 weeks or better just to get used to the treatment, and often look worse than when they started. All normal results. So try not to compare your progress to other people's so much. Give it a good 3 months. That's how long it can take for many to even begin to see results.

If after that time your skin isn't any better, or worse still, it may be time to visit your derm. A trip to the derm for professional advice at any phase is always recommended and encouraged. We can only coach you through the Regimen, make suggestions, etc. but a derm can offer other treatment options that may work well in conjunction with the Regimen, like a course of antibiotics, etc. Ultimately that's what my son needed, and it worked well treating his skin topically as well as internally.

It's depressing, I agree. Just try and not let it get to you, or get consumed by how depressing it is. Go into this treatment plan with a marathon attitude, with clear skin as the ultimate prize. Know that each treatment is getting you closer to that goal. And know that all of us on here (literally hundreds of 1000's of members worldwide) share your problem and your pain.
