Very normal. Your skin will have a lot of ups and downs in the first few months. The trick is to not let breakouts discourage you since they are part of the process. My skin was still breaking out during my 4-5th week but I still kept going. It was the best decision I made for my skin. Keep in mind to moisturize. If you feel dry within the day you can always add more.
What happened was the 1st week it was clearing up but then the second week I got red tiny bumps all over and my face was itchy I thought I had an allergic reaction but I realized that the bumps were pimples. I'm on my third week and although the bumps went down a bit my skin is still itchy and I still have the breakouts. I'm not sure what to do...is it working or having a bad effect on my skin:(
The itchiness is normal but goes away once your skin has fully adjusted to the products which can take a few weeks. Persistent and worsening itch accompanied with ooze and crusting and/or swelling means an allergic reaction, and you should stop using the products immediately. But as long as this isn't happening and it's just the normal discomfort most people go through, then you're fine. As Nicmic said, don't let this discourage you especially if you start seeing results, just muscle through and keep your eye on the prize which is clear skin!
I don't think that's good for your overall skin (besides the blemishes)
I disagree with irritating the skin to fix the problem, thus creating other problems
do you have pics by any chance?
I broke out in itchy red bumps 3 weeks ago from something I did one day and since my face had completely TURNED and it is wrecked.
the itchy red bumps were the first symptom before my whole texture and coloring changing to something sickly some days later.
Hi no I don't have photos but that is exactly what happened to me...the texture of my skin is so leathery and even after 2 weeks of just Vaseline my face is itchy. But my break out has gotten worse so I'm starting the treatment again, even slower this time. Will let you know if anything happens

Thanks,
be careful about the Vaseline, I put Neosporin on my face when this first happened and it just clogged my pores and sealed in the burning and irritation
its not not so much that the skin has to breathe..that's kind of a myth..it's just that the more you add on top of the surface the more you give the skin to combat with
i would do nothing except wash face lightly with water or cerave/ceraphil until it resolves
my issue still hasn't but I can't be sure its exactly the same as what you are dealing with
Are you noticing any reddish yellow coloring or orange peel texture, creepiness/waxiness, etc?
