Hello. I've been on the regimen for a couple of years or so and my blackheads haven't been going away and i'm not quite sure when to use this scrub. I've used it for the past 2 days at night right after I shower, which I then put on the cleanser, bp, and then mosturize but the thing that i'm not sure about is if I should substitute this scrub for my cleanser?

Hi UpcomingNest,

We would suggest that you avoid scrubbing your face altogether as it will aggravate your acne.

For more information on this, you may read Dan's Blog by using the link provided below:

The Regimen products are guaranteed to work but you have to make sure that you are using only the Acne.org products and nothing else and you follow the instructions precisely as outlined.

If you are one month in the the Acne.org 3 step system, you may incorporate the AHA+ to your regimen This will give the Acne.org Regimen an extra kick and exfoliate your skin without further irritation. You may start off by mixing 50% of the AHA+ and 50% Acne.org Moisturizer and apply the mixture every night. You may also use the AHA+ at full strength every 2-3 nights and see how that goes.

I've been using the regimen for over 2 years now and AHA+ does nothing for the blackheads on my nose. It's really good for the flakiness though.

Thank you for the information. How often do you use the AHA+ and how much of the product do you apply on your skin? Also, keep in mind that blackheads do take time to disappear. Basically what happens is sebum that is trapped in your skin oxidizes giving blackheads its color but they do eventually slowly start to fade away with time as the trapped sebum drain slowly out of your skin. Thank you for the information. Sounds like you are following instructions precisely.AHA+ quickens cell turnover which should help the blackheads extrude more quickly. However, patience is still required. Do not pick. Also, the best way to handle blackheads moving forward is to prevent them in the first place with the help of the Acne.org Regimen products.
