When should I stop using BP and how?

I have been using BP for around 3-4 months by now and I apply it on twice daily. I have seen major improvements to my skin and I am very happy with the results. The problem is that I think that I've used it long enough and I want to stop using it. What is the best way to stop using BP and should I stop using it if my skin is looking clear right now?

Rather than stopping cold turkey, I would experiment with lowering the dose. Try going down to 1 full pump twice a day for 2-3 weeks and see how things go. If you don't break out, then try applying just once a day for 2-3 weeks and see how things go. If you're still clear, then go down to a half a pump for another couple of weeks, and so on. Be prepared to give it a good 6-9 months without treatment before declaring yourself "cured."But if acne returns at all, I would resume treatments to maintain your clear skin. Many BP user can get away with using less to stay clear, it's just a matter of doing a little trial and error to see what your skin needs.

Agreed! Slowly taper away the BP instead of doing something drastic and just stopping BP all together. As you slowly taper you should be able to gauge if your skin if able to do with less BP. Good luck! 🙂
