I would look at getting rid of existing acne before you try deal with red spots.

Once I cleared up, I had alot of red spots and acne scars. I started using AHA+ on my face every night instead of my moisturizer, and it did wonders for my red spots! It took almost a year to get rid of all the marks, so be patient. There is no quick solution to healing acne spots/scars.
