I get moderate acne ( lots of whiteheads ) below my mouth and i have been putting benzoyl peroxide 5% (duac) on each night for about a week , this morning i decided to start the regimen so i used cetaphil cleanser, then applied benzoyl peroxide then waited 15 mins and applied neutrogena moisturiser . 15 mins later i noticed my face has red patches ! Is this a normal reaction?? Please help
Yes, it's normal. It doesn't appear to be an allergic reaction at all, so that's good.

Yes! Your skin will take a bit of time to adjust to the BP. Are you using the 5% BP? It would be best if you used 2.5% since it works as well as the stronger percentages but it doesn't irritate your skin as much.
I am using the 5%, the 2.5% i havent seen available in the uk anywhere and to order the acne org one from amazon is very expensive so i think i will stick with the 5% if the irritation im experienceing is normal and wont cause permanent damage /redness
Is there any way to make the 5% weaker ?
