I have severe adult acne and very oily skin; mostly around my T-zone and chin area. I usually get cysts that are big and red, they're also very painful. I'm currently using Cetaphil cleanser in the morning and OXY face wash at night with CeraVe a moisturizer. I want to start the acne.org regimen, but I'm a little hesitant, maybe because I haven't never found something that has worked for me yet. I've seen the success stories, and it's amazing! I want to be a believer, but I guess my acne has stopped me from believing a long time ago. So if you have tried it and have or had similar acne as me, would you recommend it? If not, then what would you recommend?
Thank you for reading!
well there is only one way to know, get started! what works for someone else may not work for you, but right now you really aren't doing much at all, so do give it a try, it really works well for many
but if you have deep cystic acne, then you may need some additional help, what worked for me were diet changes- I eliminated gluten and that was hard but really cleared me a lot, and then I eliminated dairy which also helped...the rest I control with topicals, I found salicylic acid worked better for me than benzoyl peroxide, but that is a very unique thing
and in general clean up your diet, no processed foods, minimize sugars....and YES get going on a good topical routine
you should try all these things before pulling out the big gun of Accutane...good luck!
