Hi, I've suffered from mild and moderate acne for a couple of years now and i've tried many over the counter and prescription treatments, pretty much everything but accutane which i really dont want to go on. I've been looking on the website and ofrum for about a year but have never posted or bought any of the products, im now considering going on the regimen and wondered if it was really as good as people say, and what the pro's and con's were? also where is the best place to buy as im from the UK
Last thing is i suffer from some quite bad hyper pigmentations and red marks from old acne, what effect would the regimen have on this or what is the best treatment for this?

Hello there.
I was in the same position you were a few years ago, always on the boards, but never really giving the regimen a shot. Feeling frustrated, but too scared to go on accutane, I started doing the regimen using store bought products.
PROs
- clears and has kept acne away
- inexpensive compared to other treatments
CONs
- stains shirt because of the BP
- can be uncomfortable when starting out because it dries your skin
The regimen can seem like it takes a lot of time to do the routine twice a day, but after a while (at least for me) it becomes second nature.
As for purchasing the regimen items, you can only do so online. If you don't want to do that, there are other alternatives to their products which I am sure you can easily find in your pharmacy or stores in the UK.
For the hyperpigmentation, I'll be honest with you. The BP which is the active ingredient in the regimen which controls the acne can prolong the red marks the acne leaves. But after about a month into the regimen you can try adding in AHA. That helps with the fading of the red marks. It takes time, but it will eventually fade.
