Alright so my acne is considered one of the light versions on this site but compared to everyone on my college campus it's pretty bad. I've always had it since like 15. I used to try and dry my skin out to make the pimples go away which i soon realized was the cause. i Went to college and this place has theeee harshest water ever. Everytime i wash my face no matter what I use i get extremely dry skin. With the dry winter coming im kind of nervous. My skin is dry, red and pimples are coming in fast. I tried the caveman regimen for a little no water on the face and it seemed to clear up a little but then I read some reviews saying it didn't work. Plus for 2 weeks my pores were pretty clogged. If anyone thinks it would work please convince me to do it again haha. I'll wrap it up my current routine is workout, sauna, shower with cetaphil cleanser, face is super dry, put on neutrageana moisturizer. Nothing is looking good the caveman regimen had me looking decent but then I got cocky and started eating bad. But please are there any tips for dry sensetive skin with harsh water? Also I get the acne on my forehead mostly sometimes the jawline.

Also in the summer i had a similar routine. Workout, sauna, wash face WITH cetaphil moisturizer lotion, turn it to cold then get out. This did work actually pretty well. It started going south when I started to use the cetaphil cleanser again because i accidently bought the moisturizer haha. Do you think i should try that again? I go to the sauna but I've heard it is bad for you now.. And im almost convinced the cleanser is irritating my skin..

Please share some advice it's ruining my confidence to the maximum now.

If it's the harsh water that is doing it you might look into making an apple cider vinegar toner and using it at night after you wash your face before you put on moisturizer. You can rinse your hair with it too, if the water is too harsh for your hair.

How would i make this? And is it supposed to help with dryness? Would i wash with the water still? Sorry for all the questions haha

Best thing to get is organic apple cider vinegar and mix it with bottled water. Some people mix it 50/50 but I mix it 2/3 water and then put it on where ever you have acne. It's not really going to help with dryness, that's why you should put it on before moisturizer. It didn't dry out my skin but I've heard it can be slightly drying. It helps with harsh water that clogs pores. Best thing for harsh water is to get a shower water filter but the good ones are expensive and you have to have good water pressure for half of them to even work. So the ACV is a good alternative. It completely gets rid of a lot of people's acne. If your skin is really dry you might want a more soothing moisturizer than cetaphil.
