hey everyone...I am a 28 yo female with mild/moderate acne. I have been using the regimen for 21 days. I saw an instant improvement and then a couple days ago my skin took a turn for the worst. Lots of new pimples and feeling a little discouraged. I have been very diligent in following Dans instructions. Even with the jojoba oil my face is still very flaky pretty soon after my moisturizer dries up. I work out daily and I don't know if I should back off from that a little to get things under control. I am just looking for advice or wondering if anyone had a similar experience. I believe in this product and am not going to quit using it but I haven't seen any info telling me my skin would improve then go back to the way it was before I started. Please share your experience with me.

The first few months can definitely feel like a roller coaster ride with breakouts and clearing. Let's make sure you are following the steps strictly. Please take the quiz and read through the biggest mistakes on this page. http://www.acne.org/regimen-help.html

For tips on managing dryness read here: http://www.acne.org/faq.html#dry

Perhaps you advanced the bp too soon. If this is the case you can slow down and decrease the bp for now while you try to get the dryness under control. My best advice is to add some jojoba oil to your moisturizer each time you apply it and be very generous with the moisturizer.

The first two month was pretty tough on me. My skin issues were all over the place. If you feel your skin is dry, try getting a better moisturizer. When I started out I relied on my Cetaphil lotion to really help with the dry patches and red irritated face. I would also re apply throughout the day if it started to dry out and also tried staying away from makeup to make it less obvious my skin wasn't in good condition. But I stuck with it and ultimately it was a good decision on my part.
