Flakiness, Cracking And Just Overall Dry Skin

I've been on the regimen for 6 weeks now using all Dan's products, and my skin is still extremely dry and flaky. I try to avoid smiling now because when I do my face cracks really badly. I wear make-up around 5 days a week when I go out of the house because I haven't gotten to that point of being confident with my skin yet. I've incorporated the AHA in the last week because I've heard that it helps the flakiness but I haven't seen an improvement, perhaps I'm using it wrong? I use quite a bit of jojoba oil and a lot of moisturizer day and night to help my dry skin but nothing is working. I thought by now my skin would adjust to the bp but I guess it hasn't. Is there anything I can do or do I just have to wait a bit longer to see improvement with my dry skin? (it seriously flakes off of my face its so embarrassing!) Please help, I'm starting to lose hope and thinking of going off of the regimen which I didn't want to have to do :(

it will take a while for AHA to help with the flakiness but what I found helped a lot was changing my nighttime moisturiser to cetaphil. It is a lot greaser and seemed to stay on my face better while sleeping compared to Dan's moisturiser.

Another tip is to make sure you're not applying your night time regimen too close to when you go to bed. Try and apply it as early in the evening as you can so that the moisturiser has more time to sink into your skin rather than it coming off onto your pillow.

Everyone's skin reacts differently to BP, but the flakiness should start to decrease by the 3 month mark.

Good luck! :)

I'm pretty new to the Regimen and so far i have been dry because ive been using too much bp too quickly . I am ending my 3rd week and starting my junior year in 2 so i am getting worried that the dryness and flakiness wont subside until then. I am really worried and feel stupid because ive been using so much treatment and not using it gradually,i didnt know. I just dont know what to do. Please help!!

Give your skin a rest for a couple of days (eg no treatment just moisturiser) and then start again but with a lot less treatment, building up slowly.

I started drinking 5 big glasses of water a day and my skin is a lot less dry. Remember that moisturizer locks moisture in, you still need to get that moisture from somewhere.
