Problems With The Eyes

So, two-parts story. I'm 33 years old male, suffered with acne all my life. I was on accutan treatment in 2006 and it cured it for 3 years, then it came back. I didn't feel like raping my body with accutan again though.

I first started regimen 3 years ago and it worked like a miracle, I honestly did not expect such results. I was on it for about a year and then stopped (I know, stupid). So, a year later, acne came back. Here where the sad part of the story comes in. I don't seem to be able to use regimen anymore :( Whenever I use it my eyes get itchy as hell, few days later my eyelids almost turn into (soft-ish) crust. I thought maybe it's because my old remains ran past the expiration date (they did) so I bought a new pack, which worked with exactly same results. I tried tolerating it but after few days my face was swollen, blotchy red and eyes were half its normal size.

What could be the reason? Did I become allergic all of a sudden? Did the contents of regiment change in the last 3 years?

I am thinking of starting a process of elimination to find out what causes that madness exactly - i.e. use only cleanser for a day, then add a treatment if all is good, then add moisturizer. Outside of that, what would you guys recommend?

Update: So, I'm 99% sure that the reaction is cause by something in moisturizer that's not Jojoba oil.

So the plan right now is to use regimen as prescribed except just put Jojoba oil instead of moisturizer. Does that sound like a good plan? Or should I look for other moisturizer options?

I would look for alternative moisturiser options to incorporate with jojoba oil.

Good luck! It must be so annoying to find issues with getting back on the regimen when it was so successful for you in the past....

I think that its so personal with what works for the individual.

I had a lot of luck with cetaphil, but others hate it. neutral.gif
