The Regimen For The First Time And I Need Help

Hi, I don't really want to give out my name as to avoid anyone from my school linking this account to me, but I wanted to share my story and ask anyone if it's worth trying the Regimen. If you don't like to read, or aren't interested, you can scroll down and find the Too Long Didn't read version. Anyway my fake name is John and I'm a 16 year old high school student, and i think i've been suffering from mild-moderate acne since the age of late 12-13. At first, when i was in 9th grade(age 13-14), I don't remember how bad my acne was, but I was self-conscious enough to try toothpaste on my face. I had mild acne on my cheeks, forehead, rarely chin, upper lip area, and sometimes nose. I got the toothpaste and spread it on my face. The first time it worked fine and I think it actually helped, but I don't remember. Anyway the second time i tried, i was confident that it would work. I got up the next morning, took my shower, got out and when i looked in the mirror i was absolutely horrified. My left cheek, my main problem area was covered in huge red blotches. I was scared and confused, and it kind of looked like I was a burn victim. The same day I got clean and clear persagel 10. It was helping and i was confident. My mom then got me the Proactiv 3 step kit with the refining mask, and I read that it wasn't very helpful and I wasn't happy. I did Proactiv for almost a year, starting in 9th grade and finishing earlier this year in 10th grade. It was helping me but I stopped after i finally convinced my mom to take me to a facialist. The proactiv had gotten used to my face and stopped working, and my face was bad, but still mild-moderate. Anyway, my mom took me to a facialist, and she started working on my face, and my face was really red afterwards. After my first appointment, people started making comments. Someone said "Oh John you broke out reallllly bad", ya I know. "Oh John, is that chickenpox on your forehead", no it's not chickenpox i think you know that, what a dumbass thing to say, and of course he laughs and so do a few people. One of the worst times I think is when someone turned around and said "why are you breaking out so much John?" and then another person turned around to look at me and said "Jesus". That was hurtful, and it was all in one day too. I'm not some loser unpopular kid, and i'm friends with everyone, so it was hurtful when everyone made these comments. Anyway i've been going to the facialist and, my routine has been washing my face with that grape fruit neutrogena acne wash, putting this green liquid lotion on my face that my facialist gave me which has no brand name and just says camphor astringent, then after that I put on baby powder, as instructed by by my facialist. I still had some refining mask from my proactiv set remaining so i put that on after the baby powder. I don't know if it was helping me or not and I don't really like to look at mirrors up close because of my confidence issues, but i was happy. Of course the comments continued over the weeks but lessened and i was thinking my face improved. The only person to ever tell me that was my mom, and my facialist. Of course i accidentally look at my face up close in a reflection and see that it had not, and it has red regions everywhere.

Now down to the point. For the most part my facialist has cleared away my pimples, but these red regions remain, I want to call them Hyperinflammatory pigmentation but I don't know. I'm light skinned and i have these red regions around my face. I read online that yogurt would help, so i've done that a few times before doing my three steps with the baby powder, but I don't think it has helped. I have been reading only success stories for the acne.com regiment and i was wondering if it will help with my problem. I wanna start it in summer, and come back to school with a noticeably improved face. Should I get it, and will it help? All support is welcome.

TL;DR - for those lazy to read, basically i have mild-moderate acne problems, i saw a facialist, and she got rid of the pimples, but there are red region on my face that are way bigger than the original pimple to begin with. I think it's hyperinflammatory pigmentation, but i'm not sure. Will the acne.org regiment kit help me with this? Thank you.

The regimen is for active acne so if you have pimples then it would work. If its just redness and scarring you are looking to improve the regimen is not designed for that.

I also quickly read through so I hope this answers your question.
