So I have been on the regimen for about 4-5 weeks, the first two were great, I had no acne. Then now just a week ago, it reappeared suddenly :(. Could it be that I am using a cleanser with 2% salicylic acid and a a dose of benzoyl followed by a facial moisturizer with 0.2% salicylic acid. Is it bad to be having so much medication on my face? Is this causing my acne to come back? I used the salicylic acid because I am just desperate I hate acne.

Using both BP and SA at the same time is likely to just cause more irritation with your skin. I know how frustrating dealing with acne can be and because of that sometimes we think throwing every product / ingredient we can at it will help but it's not always the case. Sometimes a 'less is more' approach will be more helpful. So if I were you, I'd pick just one of those ingredients to try for a while and see how they go for your skin / acne on their own. So either just salicylic acid for a few months or just BP for a few months. See how one goes on it's own and if after a few months it's not showing improvement, you could try switching to the other.

If you want to be using the regimen, you should be following it exactly to give it the best chance of working for you. So that means using a non-medicated cleanser and moisturizer (so ones that don't have any other acne specific / acne fighting ingredients such as SA) and using a 2.5% BP treatment

Re-read the information pages about the regimen, how to do it and what to expect with it.
