Hi there! I'm new here :-)

I will present myself. My name is Allie, i'm a 25 years old girl from Canada. I never had acne when i was a teenager (maybe just one spot once a month).

When i was 19, i suffered a miscarriage. After this event, i had terrible acne. My face was so oily, i had spot everywhere. It's was horrible. I was so depressed ; i was litterally hiding the whole time i had this. I was all day on my computer searching for a miracle treatment. I cried a lot... I tried many product but nothing seem to work. My doctor prescribed me Accutane. I did a first round , but my doctor gave me a low dose, so i did a relapse 6 months after. I did another course, this time with the appropriate dose, and i was clear for 5 years after that. I had beautiful skin. Awww , i miss this time lol :-)

In last september, i quit taking the birth control to make a baby. I had a breakout in october, i was so sad. But the breakout stopped after 4 weeks. I was pregnant in november, and until february, i had beautiful skin.

But when i hit the second trimester, i started to breakout, mostly on my jaws. I had (and have) spots between my eyebrows (??) and all around my mouth (jaws, chin, below the nose...) that make me think it's the hormones.

Since i started to breakout, i tried many things. New skincare (Avene), a oil free moisturizer and benzoyl peroxide. I did it one time per day (before i go to bed). But things got worse weeks by weeks :-( I started using Clindets, who is Clindamycin lotion. My skin was so irritated by this, like litterally burning.. I stopped taking this after 2 weeks.

I went to my doctor, who prescribed me oral erythromycin. It's been 2 weeks, and zero improvement. I called the pharmacist, who told me the erythromycin is most likely to don't work because of the resistance!!

I don't have any hope now...

So i started since yesterday to clean my face twice a day, and to apply the Dan's BP. Hope it's will work.

I'm grateful, i will have a wonderful baby boy in august, but i just want to feel more confident in my pregnancy. The acne make me so self-conscious, it's annoying!

I will post some update of my progress with my new routine. I hope it's will work for me!

Thank you for reading this, hope your journey will be good too :-)

Welcome to the regimen! It has helped me out so much. Good luck and remember to follow it precisely. That is very important, so many things go wrong when people don't follow it right. If you have any problems, don't give up, and ask questions. I have experience with the regimen for four months, and there were so many things that I have had to adjust, and this forum really helped me out. Don't get discouraged when things go wrong. Don't let other people stop you from following the regimen, it is such an effective solution! Good luck, and know that we are all here for your encouragement. :D

Hi there! Thank you for your kind words, you wrote this right on time. I'm experiencing very bad drying. I cannot open my mouth fully because my skin is so dry. I put moisturizer a few times a day and nothing seems to work. I have some area with flakiness , and other area where my skin is ''hard''. I don't know how to explain it :-(

I skip the BP the morning, to apply just at night.

I very hope it will be better soon because im so ugly right now :(
