Acne And Dry Skin

Hi. I was wondering if this regimen works for people with dry skin? I have pretty moderate acne. It's not the worst type of acne, I can pretty much get a flawless finish with makeup, but I just hate staring at myself in the mirror without makeup on. The thing is, my skin is naturally dry, so excess oil is not my problem. I know acne is normally associated with oily skin, so it's really hard to find a solution for acne when you don't fit the target description. This regimen pretty much guarantees dry flaky skin on people with already oily skin. What does that mean for my already dry skin? Should I give it a try or is it a lost cause? And is my acne serious enough for the program; does it matter?

If I do go on the program, should I use a different moisturizer, one that is aimed at dry skin?

Thanks!

I'm new to this and have just ordered the Regimen but according to almost all videos and posts it is said that the initial stages of using the Regimen result in lots of dryness(you know that). Of course, it's supposedly worth it, but if you are naturally dry, I recommend you find a solution to this issue. Many call it Hardening Effect, so basically your skin has to adapt to the cleaning products. For starters, I would put more humidifiers in your house. If you do not have these, simply put a pot of water on the stove and heat at a temperature where it steams. This also adds humidity to the house, which leads better skin. As for moisturizer, try Burts Bees Intense Hydration Daily Lotion. 99% natural and does a great job healing dry skin.

My acne is also moderate, but I don't have the female incentive of makeup. I want my acne gone, and this Regimen is supposed to work for all cases(as read in notes on site).

I have heard mixed reviews about the moisturizer, but I would try it... If not try Jojoba Oil use coconut oil or a simple moisturizer.

Thanks for the reply.

I don't care about being dry and flaky for a little while if it means clear skin. My concern is that I've read that if your skin isn't moisturized enough while using the treatment, then it will not work, and in some cases possibly only worsen the situation. So is this program only designed for people with oily skin?

I'm going to look into the burts and bees moisturizer. I've already tried so many different products while trying to cure my dry skin and I think that also contributed to my acne. I liked Ponds dry skin cream but it seemed to clog my pores and break me out. Dry skin just seems incurable without the side effects of acne. The reviews for burts and bees seem pretty good though so who knows, maybe this one will work.

But if I don't use the moisturizer from the regimen, will that likely derail my results?

Good luck with the regimen. I hope you find success with it!

Thanks! It's worth a try. I would try to help but I don't have a positive answer to the dry skin issue. Good luck with you too!
