BP is great at preventing acne, but does nothing for scars or to help the healing to prevent scars. some would say it actually makes the residual scars worse

you can add the acne.org AHA to the routine, that will help combat the negatives from the BP....and it's just a great thing to do in general if your skin can tolerate it

what is AHA? also, i didnt have scars to begin with.i got pimples in those places and usually they go away and heal. this time it doesnt seem to be healing and the only difference is ive been on the regimen.

I do not think it makes scars. I have been on it for 2 decades and only got one icepick scar , despite formerly cystic acne.

i havn't been on the regimen, but i have used bp for a year, and i noticed that were the pimple is dried out it leaves a red mark, and while i continuing using BP they never began to heal. But these red marks are relativley easy to fix with some salycilic acid or AHA products like someone else said

AHA is alpha hydroxy acid- look on the acne.org tab above and look at the product Dan offers....that will give you a feel for what it is.
