Bp Only At Night, Aha During The Day

Hi!

I'm an 19 year old girl who started the regimen two weeks ago.

I have read everything there is about the first month on this regimen, and I know everything about the fleakyness and dryness.

Anyway, I don't quite like what it does to my mild acneprone skin, so I'm already concidering to only use bp at night, and use 50/50 moisturizer and AHA during the day.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Can the regimen work without bp 24/7?

I hope for answers!

I have experience of using BP during the night-time only, with relative success. However on my own regimen I used the Glycolic Acid AHA over the BP at night, which seemed to reduce the flakiness for me (when paired with a moisturizer).

The question is really whether or not you feel it's absolutely crushing those breakouts at this stage. If it is, then your skin may still react positively to the night-only BP application. If it's still hit-and-miss at this early stage, I'd maybe look into keeping the Twice-a-day BP but with a mild AHA incorporated into the regimen too.

Thank you for your reply! I will try it twice a day again, because of some small breakouts. It's just that I feel like the breakouts I get is small irritation-spots from the dryness. Have anyone else had a lot of small spots in their third week?

I'm not in Dan's Regimen exactly but I hope I can help. 3 months ago I went to am Acne Specialist here in the Bay Area. She put me on 5% Bp at night and mandelic acid in the morning. I am practically clear (only one irrelevant active spot). I use to have moderate-severe acne and I can say that the bp at night only may take more while to work but it can eventually clear you up.
