Hi I started the regimen in June after I literally have tried everything. Ive done holistic diets where I eat nothing but non acne prone foods to a program called The Acne Practice which is supposed to work no matter what. The only thing that has worked so far is the regimen. My skin has cleared up a lot. However I still break out with a new pimple every other day. It's like clockwork. I eliminated jojoba and aha from my regimen because they clogged my pores and aggravated the crap out of my skin. This has helped with the amount of under the skin flesh pimples. However, I am still left with 4-5 pimples on my face at all times. I am starting to question my diet a little bit because I am eating more than I have ever eaten in order to add weight. I'm starting to get little flesh pimples on my shoulders. But then again I tried the holistic diet and it did nothing for me but this is different since I'm consuming twice my normal calories say from 2000 to maybe 3500-4000 calories. I rather not stop the diet because I am making some nice gains. So is this normal? When should I say enough is enough? Thanks
PS: lurking on this site has kept me on the regimen for this long.
I still get some breakouts after almost a year. I didn't start to clear up till my 4th or 5th month, so I'd say its normal. Unless you were clear, and are just now gettin a lot of breakouts, then that's most likely due to your dietary changes. I'm not a professional or anything, just guessing.
I am on a pretty strict diet--I generally eat only healthy foods.
I was almost clear for a good month after eating healthy for two months.
Then I took a week off, and BAM. It's back with a vengeance.
I went back to eating healthy right away, but it never got clear again.
Just some thoughts to think about.
