Hi everyone. I am in a dilemma right now. I had been dealing with oily , bumpy , pimple skin.I used to have very oily skin , by placing the blotting paper gently without patting it with much force , the whole blotting paper will be transparent .( i even feel that i am be a human oil refinery ) I suffered low self esteem , as people will always go 'WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR SKIN , WHY SO OILY , COME I TEACH YOU THIS TO CLEAR YOUR SKIN , WHY SO THIS AND THAT' , even though i know they are nice , but it really hit me badly .I don't dare to go out , even if I do ,i am always looking down or avoid eye contact with people. ,So i managed to found the regimen and i tried it near December 2013 .Even though my skin is really red , swollen and flaky after using the whole regimen. But i am loving the dryness because the oiliness is making me very in confident (sometimes i even wonder if people who are staring at me , are looking at their own reflection on my face) My skin starts to get clear , less bumpy and i am happy with it.
However , near april 2013 , i was convinced by many Singapore bloggers review that a clinic -DRX , raving how awesome it is , many people achieve clear and healthy skin within months.Because at that time , my skin was almost cleared , except for some clogged pores and blackhead . (DRX are considered as a top dermatologist clinic in Singapore , with licensed professional doctors and nurses and full facial equipment ) So i decided to abandon the regimen and visit DRX clinic. I spend near $700SGD = $565.66usd ( given with 6-8 products) on the first month. However , as i tried it , my skin gets even more oily , more clogged , more pimple. But i was stubborn as I feel that if other Singaporean who visited DRX are able to achieve healthy skin , why can't i ?Furthermore with the money that i had spent in DRX , i thought i could achieve at least a normal skin. I even visited their facial monthly , purchase their facial package over $1000SGD. I always wanted a clear skin hence I won't mind spending a bomb to achieve a good skin.
After been using their products for months , having consultation with their doctors every month for the past 6 months , going for their facial extraction for 6 months. My skin is getting oilier than usual , more clogged pores , whiteheads , pimples everywhere. Today I stared at my skin and realized how 'dirty' my skin look. Despite washing twice a day ,toning and slamming their products on my face. Nothing is working.
So i was wondering should i continue my faith in drx after spending so much and i still have credit in their facial package or again use the regimen ?
Thank you ^^
I think you should get back on the regimen! It sucks you spent all that money and it didnt work but there's no point in using the products now if it doesnt work right? You could try using cetaphil's daily facial cleanser. (i use it and love it! its gentle and has helped stopped bigger pimples) Its inexpensive and is a good sized bottle. I wouldn't really reccomend cetaphils moisturizers though, they tend to be greasy. I use burts bees natural acne solutions daily moisturizing lotion, i love it too! Its 100% natural, and not greasy at all. But dont get confused and buy the wrong thing Burts Bees also has day cream and night cream moisturizers which have tons of oil and are NOT good for people like us lol! Their also more expensive than the natural acne solutions lotion and are in jars while the natural acne solutions one is in a glass bottle/pump.The burts bees natural acne solutions works best for me if i rub it between my hands and pat it on my face, otherwise it can take more/be difficult too spread and you end up putting on too much and it being greasy. But it doesnt feel greasy at all as long as i pat it on. I really like these two products, they're very gentle. Also it might be your diet thats causing your acne, besides not eating healthy or getting enough water, alot of people's skin reacts badly to dairy. It could be dairy that your skin breaks out from or something else. Oh and you can get a little bottle of tea tree oil for ten bucks at somewhere like sallys beauty supply (its kinda pricey) Every other day or so i put it all over my face before i go to bed, but start slow even though its an oil its actually very drying. (its more watery/slippery than oily)I'd just do one patch of your face first to make sure it doesnt irritate your skin. You could also mix it with something else to dilute it if its too strong for your skin, and its all natural! fyi tea tree oil is one of the essential oils.Remember, when it comes to skin care, the more gentle the better! (unless its benzyle peroxide LOL)
