I'm in my mid 20s and have had Acne. I've tried a lot of products, nothing worked. Acne is affecting my life drastically.

Should I use the regimen? Pic album below:

What are the possible side effects? Will it give me acne scars? or just temporary redness and dryness?

It is a very personal choice and not something you should think about lightly. It can be a very hard journey in the beginning and some people give up before they see any changes. Really take the time to read the instuctions and see if you are able to do the routine religiously and as instructed.

Yes, definitely try the regimen. I did it in my mid-20s five years ago and it's been one of the best decisions of my life. Do it exactly as it says and you will get clear. At first your skin may be very dry and it will feel like a hassle. But hang in there, it is worth it! I've felt compelled to come back to these boards lately with encouragement and advice because it's meant so much to my life. I strongly recommend giving it a try, but make sure you use as directed!

I read somebody say if you have mild acne you shouldn't bother. With that being said, is it worth it to just use the cleanser and moisturizer and not the BP?

The foundation of this regimen is the BP, so don't go without if you're starting this. The acne.org face wash and lotion don't have any acne medication so using those alone won't really treat your acne. It never hurts to try it for anyone with any kind of acne issue. When I had milder acne, I liked the body shops teat tree oil line. But just do your research before you jump into anything!

To be honest, your skin really doesn't look bad enough to consider the full regimen. I mean my sister frets over one or two little pimples but I had way more with blackheads and about 50 red marks all over my face. If you decide to do it, see if just one pump per application will suffice, just to avoid the intense dryness and flaking that even I, who once had extremely oily skin, am facing now

Ya. I mean I do have acne. I always have pimples. But it's not *that* bad. I do want a completely clear face though. I bought the regimen. Just received it. I'm unsure what to do though because I don't want to make my face worse with dryness/peeling. Temporary small dryness/peeling is ok if it results in a clear face. Any advice?

If you already have it, go ahead and start. There are going to be some side effects, but everyone experiences different ones. If your goal is clear skin, this is your route. The side effects are temporary but sooooo worth it, trust me!

bro to be honest you really dont even have acne. If you want to use the regimen i would ramp up to using 1 pump morning and night (as oppossed to the 2 pumps morning and night that Dan recommends) and that should be enough to get you 100% clear. But again, you have like 3 whiteheads which is what i had in like 3rd grade. i wouldnt worry so much about it
