Question About Leaving Left Over Residue Vs Not Cleansing Over 10 Seconds?

So I've started the regimen for a while now but I keep struggling with something. Dan says to wash for less than 10 seconds but the problem is I wear make up. I've tried to get it all off within 10 secs but I don't. So is it better to leave left over makeup on my face rather than washing my face too long or is it better to wash it completely off? I'm really curious as to what out weighs the other? Help.

I totally understand u but whenever i do wear a good amount of makeup ( I don't ) i usually take some of the jojoba oil and put on my face ...leave it for like 5 mins then cleanse with warm water .. it helps the make up to come off easier ..this works for me .... I dunno ..u can probably try it ..

I second carebear's tip! I use jojoba oil as my make-up remover because it really does get all that make-up off and it doesn't break out my skin.

What I usually do is take a baby wipe that has aloe in it and wipe my make up off first then wash my face. If it's gentle enough for a babies bum then it's gentle enough for my face :)

I use a makeup removing wipe for my face, then coconut oil to remove my eye makeup. Then you can go in with the 10 second face washing. I thought it was crazy at first too, like 10 sec what the?? But its really not necessary to wash for more than that bc its not a treatment. Hope this help!

I've been using Boscia's Cleansing Oil first, then cleansing my face. Jojoba never gets all of my makeup off but the cleansing oil melts it like butter with pretty much no effort, plus it's non comedogenic. I'm only a week and a half into the Regimen and it hasn't effected my face any differently vs. the days when I don't wear makeup.
