Im on the regimen and I just have a question on the cleasner. In the past before the regimen and even in the days when had bad teenage acne. I had tried many cleansers. There was only one cleanser that if I applied it 2x per day it would almost completely stop existing acne from getting worse/breaking out. That was the Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser. Although it did absolutely nothing to remove the current acne filled face I had.

I know from a stand alone point I would rather use the Gentle Cleanser than Dans Cleanser. Dans cleanser dries my face more.

But being that on the regiment you follow it up with the Benzoyl and Moisturizer. Is it better to use a cleanser like dans that probably cleans better and dries/irritates more. Or a less powerful cleanser like cetaphil gentle that probably cleans less and dries/irritates less?

More irritation, More Clean

vs

Less Irritation, Less Clean

When it comes to cleanser, stay gentle. You might not feel really clean after using Cetaphil, but you are, it's just that it hasn't stripped all of the oils from your skin like other cleansers would.

Dans foaming cleanser = less irritation from hands

'Cetaphil style' cleanser = less irritation from the actual cleanser, but you have to massage into your face more

Ultimately for me cetaphil is the least irritating although I havent tried dans cleanser ive used similair ones from what ive read about dans

Your regimen in your sig is the exact regimen I used today. I also have the full of Dans regimen. How is it working for you?

The cetaphil moisturizer imo is a bit greasier than Dans which I dont like. Although it feels cleaner.

Its working really well for me, i'm on day 29 of the regimen and my face has cleared up loads, most people still break out a a little up to around week 8 though and I have had the odd spot but not like groups of 5 spots every morning. Cetaphil lotion is pretty greasy to use during the day, in the mornings I like to pat my face with a towel to soak up any excess.

If you like Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser, you can certainly keep using it. It's on our list of recommended products for The Regimen.
