Hi everyone. New to the regimen it's been a week and a half thus far. Early on, I love it. One issue I am having is redness. I believe the answer is too much bp (using Dan's) but I am very red in particular upper checks and corner of the eyes. This is even after heavy use of the moisturizer. Is this something that will pass? Should I cut back to using BP once a day or just decrease the amount for now? Appreciate any feedback.

Hello... This is a normal reaction when beginning the regimen. You may want to scale back a bit if the redness is too much. At the 1 to 2 week mark of the regimen, you should only be using a dime sized amount of BP day and night. If you are using more than that, you are definitely irritating your skin and causing unnecessary redness. Be sure to double check the amount of BP you are using and take it slow. Remember that time, patience, and consistency will get your skin clear. Good luck and keep us up to date on your progress.. :)

This use to happen to me early on when I started the regimen. I learned that if I applied moisturizor on my eye lids and around my eyes before putting on the bp this helped stop the eye irritation and the burning feeling on the upper part of my cheeks.

I use 2 pumps of cetaphil and rub my hands together then apply it on my eye lids and around my eye area. After I apply the bp. Then finally after the bp dry I apply the moisturizor on my face.

Redness is pretty normal at this stage in the regimen. But I agree with nycqueen's comment, make sure you're using the correctly low amount because too much will irritate! Also make sure you're treating your skin as gently as you can. I've been on the regimen for like a year now but redness came back a few months ago, and when I started to go through all the possible triggers I realized I was just washing a little too hard and rubbing the BP in instead of gliding with it. Good luck :)
