Hi guys,

I have just recieved the regimen today and will start today. However i live in the uk and costs over here are very expensive, $100 +. I just wanted to know, if this is successful for me, yes i have high hopes it will be :D How do i successfully come of the regimen after the 2 month treatment. I dont want to have to constantly rely on applying these products on even after a clear face as i just feel putting on so much benozyl peroxide can damage my skin, and i dont want my skin relying on it to prevent breakouts. Has anyone come off the regimen successfully, could you please share what you do.

Thanks.

If you don't want to constantly reapply benzoyl peroxide and treat your acne, then I would forget the regimen entirely. The Regimen isn't a cure, (meaning it won't eradicate your acne for good) it's a treatment - and a VERY effective one at that. Again, if you're worried about benzoyl peroxide being harmful and it's too expensive where you live I would consider something else.

If you're going on the regimen just to come off of it, like I said before, I don't think the regimen is for you. It requires lots of time and dedication to your skin. If you want to make the regimen work for you - give it a shot. Try it for 3 months max, and if it works, keep doing it. If it doesn't clear your acne within 3 months then you should quit.

HOW TO QUIT THE REGIMEN:

*if you are clear from the regimen and you decide to quit it, your acne WILL come back, maybe even worse than before. That's just something to keep in mind*

Slowly decrease your amount of benzoyl peroxide as the days go by, and move onto different products. That's how you quit, it's not that hard really.

PS. Remember that Benzoyl Peroxide itself is only harmful if used improperly. ALWAYS use SPF in the summer, and always use moisturizer. If you do that, BP shouldn't be all that damaging. It only increases aging if you aren't moisturizing and using SPF, because it does dry out your skin and make you more suseptable to sunburn.

You don't come off the regimen. I've tried twice and both times got severe cystic acne. Now I'm back on it for the 3rd time and will probably never come off again, at least not until I'm 90 years old and acne hormones have hopefully died down. I do not recommend starting the regimen for 2 months only. What would be the purpose of that? All you're going to do is suffer all the redness, irritation and flakiness in the beginning and then quit by the time your skin is barely getting used to the chemicals. Don't do that to yourself. Either do the regimen 100 percent, or don't.

Once my face was clear, I decreased the frequency to just 1 or 2 days a week, which I still do now. I did try stopping completely for a while, but a couple of pimples started to appear on my face, so I went back to BP again.

We are all different, so my current regimen may not work for everyone, but once or twice a week is all I currently need to keep my skin clear.
