Mix it in with your moisturizer... Moisturizer acts like a neutralizer for AHA... Personally, using AHA+ alone was extremely irritating to my skin, no matter which way I tried to use it. However, other regimen users have success using it alone as their night moisturizer. It really depends on how sensitive your skin is. Good luck!!
Yeah its a good idea to build up to using it straight, but as some have said above, sometimes using it straight is just too irritating. It took me 3 weeks using it every 2-3 nights mixed in with moisturiser until I could use it straight, but the stuff is brilliant....your face should be glowing within a month. Good luck!
Hey guys,
I tried AHA+ for the first time last night! I squeezed out a big glob and mixed it with another big glob of moisturizer and a little bit of grapeseed oil which I always mix in. I don't actually think I'll be needing the grapeseed oil when I do this...it ended up way too much/too watery. I add the grapeseed because Dan's regular lotion seems a bit too think and not hydrating enough for me on its own. But the AHA seems a lot more watery and hydrating. So next time, I think I'll just use the AHA and the lotion and stick to mixing the grapeseed on the night's I do the lotion only.
I'm glad I mixed it and didn't apply it straight because it BURNED, even the tiny bit that I used. I actually rubbed the excess on the back of my hands (hands really show a woman's age so I figure it can only help) and it burned so much I had to wash it off. So it's powerful.
I was thinking of doing it every other night. Will this be okay?
I used the AHA+ full strength last night. This stuff is amazing. It didn't cause any irritation at all! And when I woke up this morning my skin was all smooth and glowing and some of my red marks were already fading! I'm honestly getting better results with this stuff than I did with my lactic acid chemical peels.
